More Ornament Photos, and Closing Up Swap

Hi everyone. I received several more ornament photos, but not enough to create a new montage. So below are some more lovelies for you to enjoy. If I get a bunch more in next month, I may make another one and post it here.

As promised, later today I will delete everyone's contact info (unless you specifically gave me permission to save your email address for future swaps). I am definitely planning on running more swaps in the future - almost definitely I want to create something for Mother's Day this year. I'll be keeping this blog and the FB page active, so feel free to check back and see when more swaps are happening.

I realize its possible that not everyone has received their ornament yet. I'm hoping any missing ones will still turn up in January. You can let me know if you are worried about your ornament and need help tracking it down - I don't know how much I can help, but I'd be happy to try to put you in touch with your swapper if possible.

Thanks to everyone again for participating. This swap made this holiday very special (and much more bearable) for me personally, and it was a real treat to see all the beautiful items made for your babies. Happy new year to all.

If you've received your ornament but haven't sent me a photo yet, please send one if you feel inspired. I'd love to make another montage video; this first one shows about 30 ornaments, but of course many more have been made.

I know that some of you haven't received your ornament yet, and that some of you just received your ornament today. I've done a little checking, and from what I can tell all the ornaments have been made or are being made and sent, but the mail is very slow, especially internationally. My hope is that all of your ornaments will arrive before the New Year.

If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line. However, I am stepping back from the swap until the middle of next week, while I try to get some Christmas cheer going around my household.

To Say Thank You

Hi everyone. Thanks to many of you for responding to my questions on email, and for sending me your ornament photos. Look for them to be displayed here soon!

For those of you told me you haven't received your ornaments yet: if I haven't emailed you back yet, I will. I'm doing a little snooping into my records to see if I can track things down.

Last but not least, one of you mentioned that it would be great to have a way to say thank you to your secret swapper. So please go ahead and leave your thanks in the comments section below! (I'll figure out how to put up a permanent link to this "thank you" page.) And let me be the first to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you for swapping with me.

Swap Update

Hi folks. I just sent out an email to all you this morning with a few questions to help wrap-up this year's swap. If you didn't get it, it might be in spam. Here's what it says:

Dear Swap Friends,

I’m so grateful to each of you for your enthusiastic participation in the Holiday Ornament Swap! To help wrap up our project (for this year anyway!), I have three important questions for you:

1) Did you receive your ornament yet? Hopefully many of you have. If you do not receive your ornament by this Friday, December 17, please contact and I’ll see what I can do.

2) If you did receive your ornament, will you please email me a pic of it? I’d love to share as many ornaments as possible on the swap website. Or, if you have a blog and you’ve posted a pic there, could I download it? Please let me know. Thank you!

3) Would you like to be notified by email of any future swaps I might organize? If so, please “opt in” to my mailing list by replying to this message and saying something like “add me!” I still plan to delete everyone’s contact information on December 31, as previously agreed; the only way I’ll keep your email address is if you write back and tell me to.

I’m glad we could all make this season just a little brighter for one another. This community is so wonderful.

Quick Reminders

If possible, please try to mail out your ornament tomorrow, December 6. It would be great if most families could receive their ornament well before the holiday spirit is in full swing. And if you run into problems, don't forget to email me for reinforcements!

Once you receive your ornament, if you feel so moved, please snap a pic and email it to me: roseyjenni AT gmail. When I've collected a good number of pictures, I'll post them here to be admired. :)

I really enjoyed the opportunity to sit down with my family and make an ornament for someone else's baby. Lots of love flowing. I'm thinking of you all, crafting away out there, and am so grateful for your participation in this project.
